Coalie Park - Edinburgh

A collaboration with Edinburgh Wheels Project CIC, The Water Of Leith Conservation Trust, Balfour Beatty and Odyssey Skateparks.

The Dock is an exciting, unique regeneration project built upon a disused railway station in the heart of Leith, Edinburgh’s historic port.

We were involved at an early stage with consultation and design input, helping our friends at Edinburgh Wheels Project and the Water of Leith Conservation Trust through the planning and fundraising stages and ultimately to completion of the build.

Working alongside their training for work programme, which aimed to up skill unemployed young people and get them into full time work, we managed to build a fun and unique skate spot with skateable, sculptural seating overlooking the Water Of Leith.

The spot is adorned with a beautiful mosaic and surrounded by cobbled planters filled with an eclectic selection of foliage curated by talented local artists and a crew of local volunteers, this project is true to our DIY roots and a testament to what can be achieved by motivated skateboarders who care about their community.
